Popis produktu

Vrtba Garden is considered one of the most important sights in Prague, Czech Republic, and possibly the loveliest garden ever in Transalpine Europe. There are several reasons why it is exceptional, the most important being the close collaboration of outstanding artists. The Master Builder was famous Christoph Dientzenhofer, who worked according to the project of František Maxmilián Kaňka. The workshop of Matyáš Bernard Braun supplied the set of sandstone sculptures, while the frescoes were the work of Václav Vavřinec Reiner. The garden was built by Jan Joseph, Count of Vrtba (1669-1737), the most powerful man in the Kingdom of Bohemia in his time. In the decoration of the Vrtba Garden the Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, and his official, the Count of Vrtba, are celebrated.
